Meetings Tomorrow!

Hey Purchase! Just a quick reminder that on Mondays we have two meetings.

Hunger and Homelessness: 6:30 p.m. in the basement of the Hub:

Learn more about how you can help the less fortunate that are living in your area today! In addition to meetings, people who are interested in helping can donate canned goods to the NYPIRG Office at any time during the semester. The goods will go to local food pantries in Westchester County.

Consumer Advocacy: 7:30 p.m. in the basement of the Hub

Learn more about our Smalls Claims Court Action Center, the evils of unfair credit checks in employment, and a myriad of other issues facing NY’s consumers today.

**This week is also our Higher Education Action Week, in which we are focusing on issues that directly affect students: The NYS Dream Act, interest rates on federal students loans, etc.**

Come stop by and make a difference!

From 3:30 to 5:30 today, some folks will be in the dorms seeking donations for a local food pantry. Donations can also be sent to our office or CCN0004 all semester!

Towards the end of the day, Assemblyman David Buchwald allowed one group of Purchase students (and one CUNY student) along with NYPIRG Project Coordinator Alex Wojcik and Residence Life Director John Delate to enter the senate floor. The students were addressed and applauded by the NYS Assembly!
